The low down on MadJack McMad (as of 10:13 PM 9/3/03):

Each version of the band is its own entity, hence the different spelling of each. They are ordered from "First" to "Fourth" for no damned good reason at all. And then after that, there's an update on yet another Mad Jack. Hey, I warned you.
The first (Mad Jack McMad):
Bill Pohl played guitar and keyboard. Dave Gryder played electronic percussion. David Haley played bass. This Mad Jack recorded a song for David Bagsby's "Happy Hour for a Pack of Screaming Monkeys" CD, which was a tribute to Raymond Scott.
The second (Mad Jack McMaddd):
Bill Pohl played guitar. Dave Gryder played drums. Mike Richardson played bass and sang because he's a talented sumbitch. This Mad Jack played Cattle Prog I.
The third (Mad Jack McMadd):
Bill Pohl played guitar and keyboard. Nathan Brown played drums. David Haley played bass. This Mad Jack recorded a song for another Bagsby compilation. The song was named "Telperion," and is available for download. It's in a zip file, so it needs to be unzipped with a utility such as WinZip.
The fourth (MMad Jack McMaddd):
Bill Pohl played guitar. Dave Gryder played his big assed drum kit. Sam Damask played bass. This Mad Jack was scheduled to play Cattle Prog II, but didn't.
There may be more Mad Jacks to follow, so pay attention.

Update!

January 13, 2004
I hear there is yet another Mad Jack, this time spelled "Mad Jack McMaddd(d)." As far as I can tell, the lineup for this Mad Jack is Bill Pohl, Dave Gryder, and Jim Palmer. Now, Jim Palmer's a funny guy, and he likes to slam himself up against walls while playing trumpet. At least that's what he did when he was with Dead Kings Pillow. Anyway, if this information isn't true, then e mail me. Hell, e mail me even if it isn't true. This Mad Jack'll be playing some shows at Prog Night at the Ridglea Theater.

Now I'm waiting for Mad Jack McMad2, and so on.

And just for kicks, browse through this link.
